Elaina Alicandi MSW
Registered Social Worker
Getting here took courage. Maybe you’ve been feeling low or anxious for a long time. Maybe things have reached a breaking point or you’re tired of repeating old patterns. Maybe you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, only that something… something needs to shift.
My name is Elaina and I support individuals (14+) and families to find meaningful change. I work with depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, stress, personality disorders, neurodiversity, life transitions, relationships and loss. Some of my more specialized expertise is in occupational stress, especially for trauma-exposed professionals like First Responders and nurses. Over the years, my life and work have taken many paths, from individual psychotherapy to home care, distress call centres to frontline pandemic relief, from supporting my own loved ones to figuring out how to support myself in the mix.
Everything that got you here, your experiences, your values, your strengths and skills, the people you care about, and the things you want to let go…they all make up who you are. I consider it my privilege to meet you where you’re at and explore what’s leaving you feeling stuck, frustrated, or overwhelmed. To help you rediscover pieces of yourself that have become lost or shut-down. To work together to map the way forward, as you define it.
I’d love to hear what’s been going on for you or your family.
